Hello, I’m Tiffany Hayes, and I want to share my story—a journey filled with challenges, resilience, and ultimately, triumph. As a survivor of human trafficking, I faced unimaginable hardships growing up in foster care, including being exposed to the dark realities of exploitation at the tender age of 12. My experiences in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) were both tumultuous and formative, shaping who I am today.
The Challenges I Faced
Navigating the foster care system was far from easy. I witnessed and endured things that no child should ever have to face. However, through it all, I learned the importance of survival and the power of hope. I realized that my past wouldn’t dictate my future; I could rise above it all.
As an adult, I found myself homeless with my two daughters, struggling to make ends meet. It was a dark time, filled with uncertainty and doubt. But instead of succumbing to despair, I made the decision to chase my dreams. I wanted to show my daughters that even in the toughest circumstances, it’s possible to create a brighter future.
Pursuing My Passion
With a heart full of determination, I decided to launch Fearless Beauty, a bath and body line featuring cosmetics designed to empower and inspire. This venture allows me to express my creativity while providing high-quality products that help others feel beautiful inside and out.
I’m also proud to share that 5% of all proceeds go to anti-human trafficking organizations, as a way to give back and support those who are still trapped in the cycle of exploitation. It’s my way of transforming my pain into purpose.
My experiences as a human trafficking survivor have fueled my passion for advocacy. I actively engage in human trafficking awareness and foster care advocacy, working to educate others about the vulnerabilities faced by children in the system. As part of my advocacy work, I have had the privilege of collaborating with Justice and Joy, an organization that addresses all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation, including trafficking, as well as the chronic adversity that many individuals face. This experience deepened my commitment to this cause and solidified my belief that we can make a difference.
